So far, Boba Fetish has written up a bunch of reasons as to why he’s going to be playing an Imperial Agent, while Acea Engen has elaborated on why he’s going to be playing a Bounty Hunter.
I’ll give them this: both articles are well-written and well-reasoned, but I’m not going to be play either of these. Oh, no. I’m going to be playing a Sith Inquisitor – the true power behind the Sith Empire, and the pinnacle of mastery for dark side Force users. Do I even need to explain?
Wait, I do? Dammit. I was hoping this would be a short article.
Alright, then: here’s the top ten reasons why I’m going to be rolling a Sith Inquisitor when SWTOR launches. And some captions proving that the Sith Inquisitor is YOUR FRIEND!

10. I’ve played it before
I’m willing to admit that this isn’t a reason that’s going to convince any of you to play a Sith Inquisitor, but this isn’t called “Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Play a Sith Inquisitor.” It’s all about me.
I’ve had about 15 minutes of hands-on time with SWTOR, and the class I was given control over was the Sith Inquisitor. That’s not a lot of time, but I certainly got a tiny taste of how it plays and I loved it. And, frankly, I’m also eager to see how the few quests I saw tie into the Inquisitor’s plot arc.
9. Screwing with RPers
I’m sure this won’t work, and I’m sure there are plenty of RP ways to get around it, but there’s the potential for hilarity in fighting an RPing Jedi. All you need to do is almost die, and then put away your lightsaber and say something like “Yes, young Jedi! That’s it! Strike me down with your hatred and your journey to the dark side will be complete!”
It’s worth a shot, right? It should be worth it just for the baffled expression (which, admittedly, you won’t be able to see). And hey – if they kill you anyway, they get some nice character development to work through! Everyone will love this idea! Hurray for me!
8. They’ve got lightsabers
In a Star Wars MMO, I’m going to gravitate to classes with lightsabers. Lightsabers are pretty much the most iconic thing about Star Wars. Normal swords are great and all, but swords made of

Great read the only problem I see is that since the inquisitor is most popular class, we will be flooded ten thousand other inquisitors…
While I think all of the lightsaber/Force-wielding classes will be very popular, my guess is Inquisitor will rank about 4th place among them. My guess in popularity among the Force users is:
Jedi Knight
Jedi Consular
Sith Warrior
Sith Inquisitor
Jedi first as more people gravitate to the Light side and the heroes of the films. Sith Warrior over Inquisitor as it is a bit more DPS focused and less mage-y.

I wasn’t really looking forward to an Inquisitor, but the quest line of being a slave and manipulating and being a scumbag to gain your way to the top does sound incredibly fun, especially with the famous BioWare dialogue wheel, oh what great choices on that wheel we’ll have…!

I will probably be rolling a Sith Warrior to start so all of you Inquisitors out there have some brawn to boss around…
On a side note, major props to pretty much every aspect of this class, though if I were to role one I would feel guilty if I played either of the Sorcerer specs, as every time I electrocuted someone I would be reminded of that one time in Episode III when Palpatine had a huge artard moment and continued to try to shock the ever-livin’ out of Windu even though it was obviously being rebounded into his once beautiful face. “ULLLLTIMMMAATE POOOOWWWAAAAA -hack cough sizzle burn-”
