Yoda, ever the attention whore, photo bombs our interview with Gabe Amatangelo

During our recent visit to the offices of BioWare for the Fan Site Summit, we had the opportunity to interview BioWare’s Gabe Amatangelo at length. Gabe is the senior designer for PvP in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Since, up until very recently, little was known about PvP in TOR, we were excited to have a chance to chat with good ol’ Gabe.

As it turns out, Gabe was surprisingly forthcoming. He dishes on design philosophy, some of the specific mechanics that come into play in PvP, and a wide variety of topics that will interest not only the PvP enthusiast, but general TOR fans as well. On top of all that, we were pleased to see that Gabe lets a little of his humor leak out during the interview.

Choice Quote: “We’re including Tanks into PvP. They’re going to have a place in PvP. They’re going to have an ability called ‘Guard.’ As they build their defense they’re able to share it with other people by ‘Guarding’ them. So, if there’s a Healer that’s under fire from an enemy – they can go ‘Guard’ that player.”
