The idea of class- and/or race-specific is always a compelling one. I think the concept is often times mis-handled by devs and is an area where much more can be done with it. I’ll be interested in seeing what our Bioware buds can put together for us!
I’m just wondering if each race will have race traits / bonus? Has this been confired or not? but as for your main question since I will be going SI yes I’ll be going Pureblood either way. ^_^ I can’t wait for this game to come out. ( COME ON E3, show us something NEW! )
Hey Altona, there is no official or confirmed information regarding racial stat differentiation or racial abilities as of yet. So far, races are purely aesthetic other then that they dictate what classes are available to you… but I personally do hope we see some more differences other then class choice and appearance.
I personally hope all race choices are purely cosmetic. No matter how developers try, race abilities tend to always be unbalanced (e.g. the human racial in WoW which replaced the pvp trinket necessary for every other race or Tauren increase to stamina for tanks).
I understand wanting to have some differences placed among the races, I’d just rather play a race because they’re my favorite, not because they have the best racial.
To me, it doesn’t make much sense to have SI’s as purebloods. I mean, the whole thing for the SI is that they begin as a slave; the very bottom of the imperial heirarchy. Due to the imperials’ ideas of the importance of race, I don’t think a pure-blood would be a slave due to their superiority in race.
Very true. It leaves me wondering if we’ll see Purebloods as anything else.
Well it does say they follow a strict caste and rank system. There must be a bottom rung there and I imagine slavery wouldn’t be out of the question.
