It stands to reason that, here at TORWars, we attend a lot of events pertaining to Star Wars: The Old Republic. Because of this, we’ve had the opportunity to get some significant hands-on playtime with SWTOR, and I feel that personally, I’ve got a decent feel for the game. So here we are at PAX and, after waiting my turn at BioWare’s SWTOR booth, I got the chance to play the Alderaan warzone, which is something I’ve done before. For those that may not be familiar, Alderaan is a warzone in which both sides start out on ships hovering above the battlefield. Players take speederbikes to the surface, where they try to capture and hold gun turrets. Doing so causes those turrets to fire upon, and ultimately destroy, the enemy’s ship.
I was looking forward to the PvP and, despite having played SWTOR a number of times in the past, I haven’t played every class in the game quite yet. I wanted to try something new, so I could share that experience with you, the faithful readers of TORWars.

OK I have a question, is the ride from the ship on a guide wire, or can you just sit in the speeder bike and do doughnuts or explore the area?
Other than that, it sounds like you needed to work out how to use your shield skills, and to take cover where you can. Then you might have had a few kills. But at least you’ve played it before 99% of the rest of the people who want to play it.
I’ll just be here in Tassy, waiting as usual. LOL.
