First up, a disclaimer: usually on Sundays, we post our weekly TORWars podcast. Much to our surprise, some people actually like our show, and they look forward to it every week. It’s truly very hard to explain why this would be the case, but it’s true. I mean, our weekly podcasts consistently feature the same horrid content – two immature drunks, one microphone, a whole lot of bad jokes, and some chit chat about Star Wars: The Old Republic. This week, unfortunately, David and I are separated by an insurmountable distance. I’ve been at NYCC, and David has been captaining the TORWars orbital battle station. As such, he and I can’t get together to record a proper TORWars podcast.
However, I did have the privilege of sitting down for a chat with Justin of Jen’jidai and Fragworld, as well as Kathy and Roxanne from Corellian Run Radio. Our very own Deirdre joined us, and lo and behold, we had ourselves a roundtable discussion. This happened right after we’d gone to the SWTOR panel discussion and then shortly afterward, the SWTOR Q&A. As you can imagine, our heads were swimming with reveals, tidbits, factoids, and other bits and pieces of SWTOR knowledge, and it all came spilling out during out little chat.

In this photo, we see Corellian Run Radio's Roxanne as she rules the galaxy
What did five hardcore SWTOR geeks have to talk about? Well, some of the topics included the fifteen Flashpoints and two Operations that will be playable at launch, our questions about species specific abilities, the newly revised launch date, companion customization, species and class combinations in the game, and why eight-year-old kids should not really be asking public questions about in-game romances. So, yeah, we rambled all over the place, chatting about this and that, and having ourselves a grand ol’ time.
So listen and enjoy, friends. Yes, it’s a departure from our weekly official podcast, but certainly an enjoyable one. After you’re done, please leave us a comment below, and tell us what you think. We really want to hear from you!

Hey that’s my voice!
Thanks again for having me on guys!
The LFG thing is very true, as someone that’s done alot of elder content that is very difficult and needs a PUG to fulfill a proper role and not mess it up, their first few sentences really set up how you perceive that person. As Jeff said, if that guys a jerk you just know the groups doomed to fail and you just boot his ass because it just isn’t worth the time and effort that that player would bring.
That’s where not having a dedicated LFG system comes in, it forces interaction. Which i know some people have an aversion to, but really, it could only be a few sentences – although i have been subject to people that will just talk and talk relentlessly
“THESE BOOKS ARE SO BIGOTED” Haha!
Nice unique podcast!
I’m not exactly certain what was said about the LFG tool on Friday, and sadly, I can’t talk about what I know from my experience Beta testing. What I will say is that the last similar game I played (Age of Conan) had no dungeon finder, and it was annoying. I don’t think you necessarily need something that’s going to instantly teleport you to the dungeon entrance–in fact, I would say an LFG tool _shouldn’t_ do that. But a tool that makes it easier to see how many groups are waiting to do a particular heroic quest/dungeon and what classes they need? That makes everybody’s life better and I personally think it benefits community, since more groups = better community.
The only Zabrak you really know is Darth Maul??? Whats up with that. You forgot Bau Dur, the light sided Zabrak in KoToR!
