Hey there, TORWarriors! If you haven’t heard, Star Wars: The Old Republic has officially launched and the world can now finally dive into the action. At SWTOR’s New York Launch event, MMORPG.com got the chance to sit down with one of BioWare’s Co-Founders, Dr. Greg Zeschuk, to discuss SWTOR and the launch.
BioWare can now feel at least slightly alleviated with the launch of SWTOR complete, but now they look forward into SWTOR’s future. In the interview with MMORPG.com, Dr. Greg discusses just that – looking at the future of SWTOR and reminiscing on the development of SWTOR.
The interview covers a variety of topics from Subscription-based MMOs, the Free-to-play model, SWTOR’s server queues, and BioWare’s leap into the MMO genre with SWTOR. On BioWare’s approach to game-pacing with SWTOR – Dr. Zeschuk talks about how BioWare made sure SWTOR would have a fast game-pace, as slow pacing has been a complaint with the MMO genre in the past. He touches on how introducing more enemies and powerful AoE attacks is one aspect they used to introduce a more fast-paced environment in SWTOR.
It’s a nice interview, and it’s always great to hear from the BioWare Docs; as their passion for games really shines through. Check out the full Interview HERE.
