Sending Droid Companion To His Death

I saw this little screen grab and a wicked grin played upon my lips.  I hate my droid companion 2V-R8 and oh how I wish I could send him on this mission to never return. Is he truly that annoying?  The answer is yes, yes he is.  Why couldn’t we get an R2 unit or something along those same lines?  I could deal with the random boops, bops and bleeps, but the constant chattiness from my droid companion is just ridiculous.  I know I’m evil, but I’m Sith and it can’t be held against me.

Thanks goes out to redditor Innosin for posting this pic.

I’m sure many people would gave up all their credits and gear to have that companion quest if it would truely lead to the desired results.

…However I have the uncanny feeling that it would only end up in a “master, I have returned…” comment.

    FFFFUUUUUU!

    If only…

    *sigh*

Here’s an idea, make it a crafting skill to disassemble that droid, permanently. Crafting would skyrocket!

  4. Snake says:

OMG he isn’t that bad. You guys are over reacting. Just ignore him, or mute your sound when you go on your ship if you truly hate it that much.

  5. Kabe says:

…Actually, I have even better idea. Give a possibility to ‘gift’ your ship droid to the other players. Imagine having 3 of them on your ship, and with the possibility to disassamble them… the interest to the crafting would be astronimical.

  6. Kabe says:

I can already see it. /1 “looking for a crafter to take care of my pest droid problems. You can have my stuff. Help me please, you are my only hope.”

  7. Morrdious says:

I agree with Snake you guys are over reacting…lol but I am sure somewhere down the road bioware will make you able to change your droid with all the complaining thats going on about them….lol

  8. Greyhame says:

Only thing I hate about the droid is that every time you run past him he does a greeting like you just came back. On the trooper ship, you could be going between the main area and where the cargo bay is, and he’ll say it then. Or when you exit. Makes the droids talk less and I think people would be okay with them.

P.S. I find the Republic Droid more annoying than the Imperial Droid.

You don’t have to be evil to want to shove your droid companion out of the ship mid-flight.

I hope when they do introduce the ability to get an HK-51 unit in the future, that if you choose Dark Sided, the HK unit REPLACES 2V and C2, while the Light Sided option is to destroy the “evil assassination protocol droid”. Oh, but since an HK-51 unit can actually fight (and very well), have 2V and C2 get military upgrades for the Light Side, so they can be combat-useful.

    That would please everyone, methinks.

I have limited issues with the droid but this screenshot just made my day :)

Can I have more padding for my seats and extra scent of Alderaanian nectar, please? Thanks.

Not to mention it’s been over a month and 2V-R8 STILL hasn’t put that collision field on my couch like I asked him too. :(
