A new video entitled “A Look At The Old Republic” has gone up at the official Star Wars: The Old Republic site. In the video you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at BioWare Austin and see and hear the company’s James Ohlen, Blaine Christine, Jeff Dobson, Stephen Reid and Greg Zeschuk talk. Launch events are also on display and SWTOR players offer up testimonials. View it below.

SWTOR.com Quote:

“No MMO launch is ever perfect, but we are pleased to report that the launch of Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ on December 20, 2011 was a tremendous success. More than two million copies of the game have been sold, and the servers are full of players logging in to experience their own personal Star Wars™ sagas and to play with friends through the hundreds of hours of massively-multiplayer content. It’s an exhilarating experience to watch the game grow as more people join, and even more exciting to hear what players are saying they enjoy most about the game.”

The game unfortunately is boring at 50, for a PvPer. Let’s see what they come up with in March.

Mongo, I think that any mmo gets a little boring at endgame. I’ve always been more of a solo player rather than a PvPer, but things still get a little old after a while. If you are bored, trying rolling another toon for the other faction…or maybe we’ll just have to wait for an expansion for some real excitement again.

Sadly the current content is growing more and more stale with every passing day. Patch 1.2 is looking to be just what the doctor ordered. I’m hoping that the level cap will be raised a bit within the next few months. I really miss questing and would like to see more tacked on to my Warrior’s story. I would like to see some harder endgame content with 1.2, as well. The trash being the hardest part of Hard and Nightmare mode Operations? No bueno. But yeah, stoked for a new WZ. I enjoy the PvP in this game, it just needs a quite a bit of love. Cross-server queuing and some nerfs and buffs are what I need!

Please, I have been playin since day 1 of early access, i have not found or experianced everything this game has to offer yet, not even close. every class has such a diffrent experance. similarities? sure but diffrent enough to make it fun. I for one, am nowhere near tired of this game

No matter what game designers do to make ANY MMO, or even non-MMO game more interesting, challenging, fun, whatever the particular whine might be at any given time, it won’t be enough. Simple as that. There will always be power levelers, there will always be people who burn more time in a day playing than they do anything else, there will always be people who cry about how hard the game is, or how easy, etc..etc..

I have been playing ToR since inception. I am not a power gamer, I am not rushing to get to 50, it will happen, eventually. I have to agree with Traower, I am no where close to seeing, doing, or experiencing all this game has to offer. I have simple needs when it comes to an MMO. 1.) Challenge me. 2.) Entertain me. 3.) Don’t insult my intelligence. and most importantly. MOST importantly. DO NOT dumb the experience down by giving into the whiners who say this that or the other is too hard. Keep the game a challenge. So far, I am loving this game, I find it challenging, sometimes too challenging, but that’s alright. To quote Dirty Harry “A Man’s gotta know his limitations.” I’m hooked on this game.
