Sorry Brian, I suck at Space battles, but if I ever find the nerve to try’em again, I’ll be sure to use your awesome video guides.
    So profesionally done…

As for the Gay planet – pffttt – the articles are just a load of crap. Guess the media has nothing better to write about.

Oh and you’re welcome. Especially loved the “she’s a sweetheart” :P
I’ve said it before – it’s not something I’m used to hear.
Maybe because I’m more known as a silent grumpy cold fish! lol

  2. SDeCosta says:

Brian I love your videos, I only wish they would reset!
Thanks for pointing out you have a donate button so wham! There 10 bucks cheers guys keep up the great work

  3. Snake says:

More than happy to donate to the cause. I’m here every single day checking out the SWTOR news. Anytime I read something about the game, my next stop is here to see what you guys think about it. I don’t always agree, but that’s the best part of Fan Sites like TORWARS. You get to see how other people who love the game as much as you view important issues.

I hope you guys keep going for as long as the game is live.

  4. MajorYutz says:

The comments about just enjoying what we have, as things are getting and will continue to get better are 100% on the mark. This is not the game that we had a year ago, its a much better game. Thanks for the insight and the clear headed comments.

  5. Trinian says:

I would like a Video Guide that is a basic introduction to the space battles.

When I first got a ship, I installed the level one ship armaments that you buy from the vendor and tried the first space mission. In fifteen attempts I was successful once. I have no idea what I was doing wrong or what I could do better. Just 30 seconds from the end of mission, I failed. I haven’t tried any since.

    So, please explain the basics.

    • Cleeyah says:

The first space mission is an escort. Escorts suck. Try some none-escort missions – much easier to learn this stuff when you don’t have to keep another ship alive.

  6. RS2 says:

You said something about being on top of the news, I must have missed the section about Return of the Gree :)

    • Brian Waggoner says:

You do realize that it takes time to prep/record/edit/post the podcast? At best its a 24 hour turnaround, at worst, days. Thats why we do a week of news recap, its not meant for breaking news.

The gree stuff game out yesterday morning. As much as we may not like it, we all have day jobs and cant record a podcast whenever news comes out like that.

  7. Jimbo says:

    BWA-HAHA! Robosexuals…

  8. Val says:

    Lol jimbo….lol all of it

  9. Michael Sawyer says:

“I can’t believe people are still talking about this”.

Yup. And we are not going to stop pressing the issue. And it is not going to go away. And no we are not going to just “be satisfied with what we got”. Granted, this is not NEARLY as important as, say, an extra toolbar for F2P’ers, a gross and grave injustice to all of humanity that was championed for, rooted for, and applauded by even some of you! But you know, some of us think SGR’s are “up there” at least.

And just like the freepers that fought for that precious extra tool bar, we will fight for our SGR’s. YES, I know they were heroes for fighting for those extra freebies and getting EA to give in, while we are whiners for attempting the same thing. Or of course the broken record complaints about some features, or said interviews with certain developers, but I guess THOSE are legit cause you like them.

Yup, no double standard here. None. Not. At. All.

  10. Michael Sawyer says:

In other news, having a hard time donating

    :( Screen going blank

  11. WLB says:

Good luck with the videos, Brian! Speaking of which, if I joined the TORwars guild, do you think I could get people to be in some of my machinimas? :D

  12. Wahala99 says:

First; I am not a homophobe. However, I do not play games for “romance”. I may try a companion romance story arc just for grins, but if they were not there I would not miss them at all (any romance arc). I play games for adventure. Cut scenes where characters disappear and then return from some imaginary sexual experience … or where they kiss each other are not adventures. They are really kind of dumb and totaly superfluous (I also cannot spell well). To make such a big deal over “romance” in basically a war/fighting/rescuing/hero making game is , in a word … STUPID. I really do not think gay people play games for romance “story arcs” either. After all gay gamers are not stupid either.

    Just my opinion:)

  13. Charlie says:

Loved the show. Love the game. Agree that the SGRA misrepresentation has gotten nuts! Especially annoyed when people who don’t play the game criticize the move on sites like GayGamer.net.

One small defense of whining that is actually relevant. Picture it: 2009. Gay gamers everywhere are STOKED because Dragon Age origins will have guy/guy and lady/lady love! Then people start to whine that they wanted to romance the boy next door Alistair instead of the cocky elf Zevran. I was mortified. BioWare did a wonderful thing and people were %$@#@ing about it! Sure I wanted to romance Alistair too but some of the criticisms of Zevran reeked of internalized homophobia. My fear: they will never give us anything again if we just complain. Not so! BioWare took this to heart and brought it up as the reason that nearly all companions were romance options for either gender.

I’ve never been comfortable with the way that to get what you want in a game is to whine about it but darn if it doesn’t work. Getting same sex NPC flings on Makeb is slightly akin to opening that present you are certain is a complete boxed set of the Clone Wars on Blu Ray and finding out it’s The Ewok Adventures movies. Only an ungrateful jerk would not say thank you… and you will have some fun with those ewoks…. but a part of you is thinking “Oh… umm… thanks?”

    Something > nothing.
