TORWars TV: Episode 2

Episode two is go.

Episode two is go.

The second edition of TORWars TV is right here and ready for your viewing pleasure. This week Gaddock Teeg discusses the little bits of news from last week in his SWTOR Weekly Digest, Geldarion talks PVP and AlanShotFirst brings us another Community Blender (with a LOT less shakey cam) segment for you and this weeks topic? Aurebesh.

So go ahead and pop some popcorn, sit down and hit the play button. When you’re finished, let us know your thoughts in the comments section below and always remember, should you decide to be abusive in our comments section, I will personally send my Tusken Raider body guard to throw a handful of sand so far down your underwear, your grandchildren will feel the itch. Thanks for watching! :D

Now hit play!

Awesome, definitely 100% improvement in quality over last week, kind of missed the dulcet tones of Brian from last week :-D

Thanks for all the hardwork guys!

  2. Wahala99 says:

I( loved it …. Very professional looking and interesting stuff … I wish I knew arabesh so I could write the comment in it … (of course there is no characterset on my computer for it) :)

  3. Fynn Cobb says:

Great Job, gents. Big shake-up since E1, but I like it.

Alan: I have never done anything geeky, but I know a guy that created an alter-ego for a game. The guy even set up Twitter and Email for the made up character. Talk about too much free time…

    But anyway, great job, guys.

  4. gamerladyp says:

Oh dear, is today the day I admit that I once knew Elvish?! Yes, I suppose it is. Like any language skill though, I’ve forgotten it from disuse. I’d say my current geekdom involves owning so much LARP weaponry and costumes that they get their own shelf and closet.

  5. SillyJedi says:

    good job with the video.
Alan: the geeky’ist thing ive done, after getting my first full time job with all that extra cash, what do i buy? no not a car, tv, or new PC, but a replica costume of a stormtrooper, efx helmet and all, i had to work on it being a big guy that’s 6’3″. finding the right gloves was one of the hardest parts, and i could never find stormtrooper boots in my size so i just spray painted my old combat boots.

i wanna say also when you do all the planing/time i put into it before even ordering anything, i mean it was about a year until i actually ordered everything, you can really nerd out on the little things like making sure i have the ESB hand guards not the ANH/ROTJ ones because i had the ESB helmet.. and so on. it also really ties the living room together, also helps to have a girlfriend/wife that loves star wars if your wanting to display your work.

Heh, reminds me of this past winter break when my cousin was in town and our parents suddenly sent us to buy lottery tickets. We both agreed that if we won, the first thing we’d each buy would be four of every Magic: The Gathering card. We were completely serious.

    • Roari says:

A Stormtrooper outfit is a must have for me someday. You are a lucky man

  6. ThaWolf says:

    Much better this time!

Just to a bit too short.

  7. BrunoLogan says:

    Good work! Keep them coming!
I would like to see a video version of the podcast too!

  8. Kaylen says:

Well done! Enjoyed it all! I have never learned a language for a fantasy/gaming universe, but Alan, I DID save the chart you posted on Twitter for Aurebesh with the intent of taking it up. Now that you’ve mentioned a website, perhaps I will track that down. =)

  9. Arcadius says:

Great second episode! Hope to see Brian back soon, but thanks to everybody for stepping up and keeping the ball rolling.

    Looking forward to more.

Sounds like a cool challenge, Alan. Is that a gauntlet I hear hitting the ground?

  10. Brian Waggoner says:

I dont know if Brian will be returning to in front of the camera anytime soon. I am way more comfortable just producing the show and doing some voiceovers here and there. Who knows, well see how things go in the next episode or 2.

  11. Werit says:

I enjoyed the episode, it’s a SWTOR Variety Show :) Good job! I also really liked the intro graphics for the PvP segment.

  12. The Aurebesh site I used to learn:

In case you are feeling geeky my friends!

  13. Anaki says:

Enjoyed it, keep it coming, if time permits. :)

  14. Darak C. says:

Great job guys! The production quality was MUCH better than epidsode 1. Seems like you have some good regular segments that I will continue to watch.

I’d love to see the other TORwars staff members weigh in on topics as well. How about a question of the week like BW does on Twitter/Facebook, and have all the staff members/show hosts send in a 30 seconds or less answer?

Geldarion: Thank you! I know nothing about PvP so that really helped. My first PvP experience was a lag-induced slideshow of me dying, mostly on fire. After I upgraded my PC I never really went back. I would love seePvP tips for class vs class combat. If I knew how to counter some things then maybe the next time I get jumped on Voss I won’t suddenly turn into a septuagenarion playing Wii instead of the sterotypical overweight 30-something white male gamer that I am.

  15. Darth Cheeseburger says:

    Much better

  16. Excellent job all involved.

PVP – I’d like to see some PVP for beginners info. I haven’t done a lot, its not really my thing, but maybe some more info would help.

Geekiest thing I’ve ever done – made a Roman shield after researching exactly how they did it and began making roman costume pieces.

  17. GaddockTeeg says:

I’m not running the show but I must say I really like your idea.

  18. Danta2er says:

Show was much better this week! Keep up the great work!

  19. DurtaDurta says:

BRB downloading Arubesh font. Great episode guys!

  20. Targeter says:

Drastic improvement in quality! Well done to everyone involved.

  21. WildJedi says:

Way better then last time, just have the camera back so we see the entire person. To short aswell just as all the new podcasts they all shot on sundays.
