The TORWars Intelligence Report: Dread Master Styrak

Intelligence is not always accurate, the information contained within this report may or may not occur. It may be seen in the game as is, altered or not at all. The following text will likely contain SPOILERS, so read at your own risk.

In the latest patch on the Public Test Server, we found out even more information about the Darvannis Operation. Last time we learned about the planet itself.  This time, we have details on the kind of threats you will face.  In particular, this Intelligence Report centers on Dread Master Styrak.

Greetings Bounty Hunter,

My name is Averton Conrad and I represent the Czerka Corporation.   Recently, the Hutt Cartel has been making a series of rather provocative moves which threaten our business interests.  Normally, we would handle this sort of thing in house, but there are certain conditions which require us to seek outside assistance.

Our Intelligence division has reason to believe that the Hutts are merely players and that there is someone much more dangerous behind the scenes.  His name is Styrak and he seems to be a Dread Master.  How he is involved with the Hutts, we don’t know, but in any case, we want him eliminated.

Here is what we know about him:

The Dread Masters possess incredible, unprecedented power over the dark side of the Force; a power developed through rituals created by one of their own, the incomparable Sith alchemist known as Styrak. Even before Styrak became one of the Dread Masters, his superior intellect and sadistic experiments on subjects both living and dead were infamous. Hundreds, perhaps even thousands of slaves and beasts have been claimed by Styrak’s heartless pursuit of mastery over the Force.

Styrak is also the most individualistic of the Dread Masters: whether out of pride or supreme confidence, he is the one most likely to strike out alone in pursuit of the group’s goals. Rumors have long suggested that the Dread Masters only possess their full power when acting together, but so far, no one has dared to test the rumor by challenging Styrak during any of his “excursions”.

As if he were not enough of a handful.  We have reports of him having a Kell Dragon as a pet.  I use the term ‘pet’ quite loosely, as you wouldn’t want this thing sleeping in the bed with you.   I asked our Xenobiology division to write up exactly what a “kell dragon” is.  Here is what they had to say:

Vicious predators known for their powerful jaws and thickly scaled hides, kell dragons have become a favorite pet and status symbol among the galaxy’s crime lords and collectors of exotic creatures. Almost all currently documented kell dragons were bred in captivity and trained specifically for battle in underworld fighting pits, despite the illegal nature of such activities throughout most of the galaxy.

Although genetically related to the famed krayt dragons of the planet Tatooine, the home-world of the smaller kell dragons remains unknown. Some biologists believe the creatures may have been specifically bred from their larger cousins, though how anyone could control the breeding of such colossal and destructive creatures is anyone’s guess.

Sound like fun yet?  Oh, one last thing.  I want evidence of Styrak’s demise, that means no disintegrations.  Good Hunting.

Signed,

Averton Conrad
