This one comes to us from one of our writers, Kasey, who was on site at SXSW in Austin Texas from March 8-17 of 2013. BioWare – Austin made an appearance and discussed the latest happenings in Star Wars: The Old Republic.
The developers get very candid in this panel especially when one listener asks a very important question about how the devs feel about the biggest challenge in the transition from subscription to free-to-play. Jeff Hickman himself states that in the studio there were many challenges but that, “…it’s a challenge of convincing your team that it’s the right thing to do, proving it to them and then delivering on that, big challenge…” and that “…there’s a challenge in convincing the market in the same way…first thing everybody says: “Oh Star Wars is failing”…and that’s just crap.” As you can see, Jeff is passionate about SWTOR and it shows in this panel discussion.

TORWars Podcast #152: The Terrors of Nuturing the SWTOR Community
THIS is what I like to see from Bioware! Out with the players and talking about the game. Even though you don’t get a lot of “news” out of it, you at least get the feeling that the people behind the game are passionate about it. (at least to me)
