Hey, where’s my Ask a Jedi?

Since Star Wars: The Old Republic was first announced, Ask a Jedi was one of the “go to” fan sites for news, updates, and SWTOR info.  Over time, the editorial staff here at TORWars got to know the founder of AAJ, Bill Leonard, personally.  Bill’s a kindred spirit, a true geek, and an avid fan, with a genuine passion for SWTOR.  He’s also a funny guy, and a very talented, professional writer.  The TORWars staff hung out with Bill at conventions, we drank beer, we went to fan site summits together, we drank more beer, and we went to SWTOR themed events, where we drank more beer.  Ah, good times.

Under Bill’s guidance, AAJ became one of the “big three”, along with TORWars and Darth Hater, of the SWTOR fan sites.  We got to know his editors and writers (these meeting generally involved drinking even more beer), and we all became friends.  However, running a fan site of the size, quality, and influence of Ask a Jedi is major enterprise.  As we here at TORWars can attest, it takes a mountain of time to stay on top of breaking news, write up interesting stories, wrangle writers, maintain the site, get enough ads to pay the bandwidth costs, answer all the email, and do everything else to keep the site running.

As such, in March of 2012, Bill decided to merge AAJ into TORWars.  With our combined efforts, our goal was to keep the community appraised of breaking news, updated SWTOR info, and the very latest in developments about the game.  If you’re reading this, that may very well be how you ended up here at TORWars – a redirect from the old Ask a Jedi website.  We trust that you’ll find yourself right at home here.  If you liked AAJ’s news and overall style, then you’ll certainly find things to be very comfortable and familiar here at TORWars.
