Greeting TORWarriors! It’s Werit back again with a new TORWars Intelligence Report. Today we are going to discuss something near and dear to our hearts, the Rakghoul Plague event. It’s been many a month since this event was run, but it remains as one of BioWares more successful ventures. It’s comeback has been talked about…and it looks like it will happen.
Intelligence like this is not always accurate, the information contained within this report may or may not occur. It may be seen in the game as is, altered or not at all. The following text will likely contain SPOILERS, so read at your own risk.
Over the past few patches, there have been small bit of Rakghoul data added to the files. Not really enough to warrent a full blown post though. That was until the 2.3 patch hit the live servers. There was a nice descriptive block of information which to draw from. So what was added?
PvP. The data says pretty clearly that there will be some sort of PvP mechanic to the Rakghoul Plague event. Whether or not is is open world pvp or instanced remains to be seen.
Tunnels. The PvP element of where the Rakghoul environment looks like it takes place in a tunnel setting. It is not clear if this is a new or existing area.
Mechanic. The data seems to suggest players will be picking up something (getting a buff) and turning it in. I’m going to guess that the opposing side will have the same mission and we’ll fight over the things.
With BioWare’s new found love of recurring events, I would not be surprised to see the Rakghoul Plague join the list. This time, however, it will likely have new PvE and PvP content. Then again, I could be totally misinterpreting the data and we’re getting nothing of the sort
